Validation
BSim in the current version have not been part of a comprehensive validation exercise, but tsbi3 have been part of a comprehensive empirical validation carried out under the International Energy Agency's Solar Heating and Cooling programme task 12 - Building Energy Analysis and Design Tools For Solar Applications. The central algorithms in BSim are to a large extend the same algorithms as existed in tsbi3.
The report "Empirical Validation of Thermal Building Simulation Programs Using Test Room Data" comprises three volumes and can be downloaded from in PDF format from the projects web site:
